XL Thunder Winter 2 Basketball League

4th - 8th grade

Thunder basketball will offer an instructional and competitive 2019 Winter 2 basketball league. 

XL Thunder winter league is for 4th - 8th grade athletes. It is a competitive way for the athlete to improve their skill level by having emphasis on skill development, conditioning and team play. Our USA certified coaching staff will instruct the athletes in offensive and defensive drills, ball handling skills and quality shooting techniques.  Your child will be placed on a team by ability rather than by grade to assure that we are meeting the athlete at their level.  This will allow the athlete to grow, improve and be successful at their own pace.  Games will be held on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays with the schedule coming out on Wednesdays.  It is XL Thunder's goal to help student athletes to improve and grow, not only as a player but as an individual. XL Thunder strives to promote integrity and a sense of family throughout the organization.

Season Start Date: January 14th

Season End Date: February 24th

Winter League includes:

(1) team practice per week

(1) skills session per week (optional) 

(7) week season 

(6) game weekends (including Fridays)

Mondays (starting January 14th)

4/5/6 Boys court 1 5;30 to 7

4/5/6 girls Court 2 5:30 to 7

7/8 Boys court 1 7:00 to 8:30

7/8 girls court 2 7:00 to 8:30

 

Wednesdays

4/5 Boys Court 1 5;30 to 6;30

5/6 Boys Court 2 6:30 to 7:30 (there will be two teams of grade 5 boys they will be assigned)

7/8 boys court 1 7:30 to 8:30

 

Friday

4/5/6 Boys and Girls  5:30 to 6:30 ball handling 

7/8 boys and Girls 6:30 -  7:30 ball handling

Payment Policy

-Payments need to be paid in full by the end of week three of each program.  If not paid players are suspended from play until account is brought current.

-No future registration allowed until balance is paid for previous program/season.
